Sherlock Holmes II is slated to hit theaters December 16, 2011. That about 5 months from now. My guess is they are trying to generate a buzz. By this time in December, they're hoping that holiday shoppers will take in this movie while out shopping. I don't like shopping so they can count me out of that demographic.
On a lighter note, it's good to see Robert Downey Jr. clean and sober.
